With high security cylinders, you have the best protection against unauthorized duplication of keys, are bump key resistant and made with solid brass cylinders, not cast or pot-metal as sold by the big box stores.

All exterior doors of your home should be at least 1¾” thick solid core doors. There should be a knob or lever lock and a dead bolt installed on the door for maximum safety and security. Deadbolt locks provide the best security for doors to help combat against forced entry. The dead bolt lock should have a solid bolt that extends at least 1” into the frame of the door. The strike for the lock that is installed into the frame should be installed with at least 3” screws, bolting it back into the framing of the house, giving it the maximum strength and security.
